While waiting for the Florence Rhody Festival parade to begin this neat old bi-plane flew over. I put the camera on full digital zoom, moved with it and hoped I got a good shot. Was thrilled to find out I did! :)

Looking Across the Suislaw River
On our way to Florence for the Rhody Parade I took this photo out the bus window. I really liked how the fog made everything look so peaceful and relaxing, and how calm the river was.

One seed too many
This bird was at our feeder so I put the camera in multi-shot mode and fired away hoping to catch him flying away. He didn't but I did get this where he apparently tried to take more seeds than would fit in his mouth. D'OH!

Ferris Wheel
While marching in the parade I saw this ferris wheel. It looked really cool and I quickly grabbed a photo. This turned out way better than usual, nicely framed and all! Not easy to do while you're marching and supposed to be playing! haha After looking at it I decided it could benefit from some additional processing in Lightroom. I think it turned out really good!

Very Cool Bike!
While marching in the Florence Rhody Parade this last weekend I saw this very cool bike! I'm a little upset I cut off the front wheel. I cropped it a bit and had some fun processing it in Lightroom.

Maddie Posing
It was a really nice day. We were sitting in the front yard enjoying the sun and Maddie had her bathing suite on playing in the water. When she saw me pointing the camera at her she stuck this pose. haha

Bird at the Feeder
The birds were out big time enjoying the seed we put out for them. I grabbed my camera and from inside the house, put it on full digital zoom and took some photos. I like that I caught this guy with a seed in his mouth. :)

Fake HDR Clouds
While sitting outside enjoying the sun I saw some cool clouds. While I was looking at them I thought they would probably be fun to play around with in Lightroom. I spent a little time trying to give them that HDR look. I really like how this one turned out! The clouds look neat, the sun looks like a Phoenix, and the stuff at the bottom has a cool look. :)

Pigeon On The Roof
There's a small group of Pigeon's that live around our neighborhood. One was nice enough to land on the roof and pose so I could take a picture. :)

Riley & Maddie Enjoying the Sun
Saturday it was really a nice day out. I was sitting outside reading a book while Maddie was playing with a neighbor and Riley was riding his bike. Maddie came back and wanted to sit on her towel and read. Riley wanted to do the same. :)

Our House
It was a beautiful spring afternoon and the front yard was looking good. So I took several photos and stitched them together. I like having a good looking lawn, and having the neighbors be jealous. ;)

Cool Clouds
I've been on a cloud kick lately because there have been so many cool clouds lately! Here's some more. I really like the spring green of the trees and how blue the sky is (no photo retouching done).

Angry Clouds
The other day it was beautiful, then over about an hour the clouds rolled in, some looking VERY ominous like they were going to unload buckets of water on us any second. Fortunately we were able to get inside before the rain started. :)

Spring Tree and Clouds
We had some good, big, puffy storm clouds the other day. I thought the tree starting to bloom in the Spring looked cool against the clouds. :)

2008 Snow Storm
Back in December of 2008 around Christmas we had the most snow I've seen since my family moved back here in 1976 (I was 13). It was great fun for the kids, a mess for everyone to drive in. Thankfully, I can easily work from home so I never went into work, just went downstairs and logged on. This meant we were able to get out with the kids and enjoy it. This is a view of our house and the street - we are at the corner of two streets which is why it looks so bent. ;) This is several photos stitched together in Photoshop.

Rose Garden Panorama
Before a Portland TrailBlazers game. I took these fast and didn't adjust the camera settings enough. It's a little blurry but turned out pretty good.

Clouds Behind Trees
I was walking back from the train and saw this. I thought it looked cool with the trees acting as a boarder on the bottom to the big, puffy clouds in the sky. This is 2 rows of 6 photos each stitched in Photoshop CS4 (don't have CS5 - yet). I did a little manipulation in Lightroom, though not much.
In this 2nd one I took the same photo from above and pulled the Clarity slider in Lightroom all the way down. I really like the effect this produced. I like both equally but for different reasons. :)

Tree ready for spring
While walking back from the train I saw this tree that hadn't bloomed yet and thought it looked cool against the blue sky.

Governor Hotel Renaissance Room
A very small group of the One More Time Around Again Marching Band played a little lunch gig. We met in this really cool room. I loved how warm the the lights made it look. I did enhance it a bit in Lightroom, really like how it turned out!

Hole in Proposal Rock
This is a really cool rock at Neskowin. Over on the left side (as you're looking at it from the beach) there's a nice hole in it, big enough for people to fit through. I tried to get a little different perspective on it. This never had any post processing done on it, but now that I look at it, I think it needs some. Still, I do like how it turned out. :)

Big Cloud
I was watching the kids play and ride bikes (something I do every day after work if it's not raining) when I looked up and saw this really cool looking cloud. Just had to take a picture of it. It was cool how it ran the same direction as our street, looked like if it dropped down to the ground it would fill the street perfectly.
